Which is best ?
Season 1
Season 2
AUTHOR: MADA B.
Based on Jane Austen’s unfinished novel, Sanditon follows the heroine Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) and her adventures in the Regency-era seaside resort town, Sanditon, while staying with the Parker family.
This new season of Sanditon was very intriguing and unexpected. The first season was indeed much better but after the main male character leaving the show, departure did much to the story. This time picks up almost a year after the events of season 1 with a tragic death of Sidney Parker and that leaving no hope for a reunion between Charlotte and Sidney. Charlotte returns to Sanditon with her sister, Alison.
This time the romance happen between Charlotte and Alexander Colbourne, a reclusive man of wealth with secrets. When Charlotte becomes a governess for his daughter and niece, by the half of the season she begin to have feeling for her, even through at first he seemed strange and somehow possesive by telling her that she works for him and he forbits her to do some thinks but she didnt know all side of the story between Coulbourne and Colonel Francis Lennox, a charming military man of questionable morals .
I absolutely loved the characterization of the female characters this season, particularly Charlotte, Georgiana, Esther, and Clara. Their stories was different but somewhat the same. Almost all of them where inlove at first by the wrong man but I really like the portretization of a strong female character. Also one thing that I liked was the friendship between Clara and Esther, that I thought I never saw but they did a great job with their characters.
All in all, period drama fans everywhere should love season 2 cuz even if is not actually, like other say Austen aproved but is period drama and in the time we are leaving now, a bit of escape in the past can do many goods.

I love your review my friend! I loved Season 2 and I adore Mr. Colbourne. He is an interesting character, and has much chemistry with Charlotte. I totally agree with everything you have said!
