TV SERIES REVIEW ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL

Author: LORE B.

From where I will begin? I found about this show in December 2020 – around Christmas and I was absolutely fascinated! Definitely the best show from 2020!

If I make you curious, I will tell you what the series is about. The show revolves around a trio of veterinary surgeons working in the Yorkshire Dales beginning in 1937. Siegfried Farnon (described as an "eccentric") hires James Herriot into his veterinary practice at Skeldale House. Besides Siegfried and James, there is Siegfried's younger brother, Tristan, and Mrs. Hall, their housekeeper.

The remake of the timeless classic, based on the memoirs of iconic vet Alf Wight who wrote under the pseudonym James Herriot, delighted viewers. What is not to like in this show? Plenty of cute animals [dogs, donkeys, cows, cats, fish, and many other incredible animals] and the stunning Yorkshire Dales as the backdrop; it’s no surprise All Creatures Great and Small has been a hit all over again – beside who will not love this kind of series!? I definitely love it!

Last year [and this year, unfortunately] was so hard for any of us because of the pandemic, you watched on television only bad news and so many movies and tv series with so many drama [we don’t need that in this period] and then All Creatures landed: a sweet, gentle, deliberately mild remake of a series you can vaguely recollect watching all those years ago.

What this series represents for me? Well, being an introvert person, who doesn't like to spend too much time with people and who loves animals, this series it brought me great joy, taking me to another place where it is better than now, where I can be happy in my little tiny world.

If you like what I write here and you will decide to give a chance, you can expect to see an ensemble of colorful characters like farmers, animals and townsfolk living in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1930s and you will like it, I'm sure about that!

That all for today. Thank you for reading this review. I'd love to hear your thoughts please drop a comment below if you want and we can discuss this more forward. Have a blessed day and thank you for visiting TWIN MINDS OF CLASSICS.

Beautiful review! I love this series too! Such innocence that is a breath of fresh air so needed in this terrible state of a world we live in now.
